We chose the smart version so we could adjust both brightness and color temperature. It is convenient to move from warm evening lighting to brighter task lighting without changing the fixture. The design also looks much nicer than a standard flat recessed light.

The five color-temperature settings are extremely useful. We selected 3000K for our living room, and the light feels warm without being too yellow.
